What You Do on New Years Day, You Will Do All Year: 6 in 2019

January 1, 2019

This folklore has strong ties to New Year traditions around the world, according to The Farmer's Almanac. I can't remember where I first heard this superstition because I probably heard it as a very young child. While I am not overly superstitious, creating intention on the first day of a new year makes sense to me. So here are six things I am doing today which I have often done in the past and which I hope to continue to do in this new year.

Take a walk outside around the neighborhood.

Spend some time planning some new work in the studio.

Kiss my husband.

Drink coffee.

Pet my cats.

Call a friend.

If these things sound too ordinary for New Year's day, well, perhaps. Nonetheless, they all require health, love and some wealth which I do not take for granted and for which I fervently hope will continue into the new year.

Blessings are counted well in the smallest of pleasures we get to experience on a daily basis.

May 2019 be a Year of Blessings Counted and Multiplied in all your new ventures and resolutions. I am looking forward to hearing your blessings counted!
